New equipment makes significant improvements to company’s capabilities
Chicago, IL (December 27, 2011) – MidAmerican Printing Systems, Inc. announced today the relocation of its offices and manufacturing plant to 1716 W. Grand Avenue, just west of Ashland Avenue. In addition to the updated facility, the company is investing in new state-of-the-art printing machinery that will help them add to their product offerings. MidAmerican Printing Systems is a family owned business and for 26 years has been a one-stop shop for printing, mailing, direct mail campaigns, marketing collateral, variable data printing and more.
“We’re investing in our employees, our customers and Chicago,” said Jerry Freund, president of MidAmerican Printing Systems, Inc. “In order to be at the forefront of our industry, we needed to upgrade some of our large printing presses to accommodate the needs of our customers. New machinery adding to the company’s capabilities include:
A Xerox iGen4™ digital press that is the most robust, high-quality digital press in deployment. The best part is the new ink system which replicates offset printing technology. In addition, the maximum sheet size on this new iGen4 is 26” x 14.33”, making it ideal for large personalized posters and 6-panel brochures that are 25.5” x 11”.
A KBA Universal 105 41-inch 6-color sheetfed press with a coater. This machine allows us to print on substrates as thin as 50# and as thick as 48 pt. board with a sheet size up to 28” x 40”. It also features flood and spot aqueous coating capabilities.
