Plate Systems, Workflow & Staccato® Screening
Mid-American is 100% Direct-to-Plate, decreasing project cycle times
and consistently producing the highest quality images on press.
Staccato® screening produces high-fidelity, artifact-free images
that exhibit fine detail without halftone rosettes, screening moiré,
gray-level limitations or abrupt jumps in tone. What is Staccato’s
impact on your print materials? You’ll achieve beautiful,
eye-catching 4-color print products, for the same price as conventional
(AM) printing.
Technology: Creo Spectrum Trendsetter Computer-to-Plate and Proofing
System supported by the Brisque Impose Workflow with Creo’s
Staccato Frequency Modulated (FM) print technology
Conventional Offset
At Mid-American, we print just about every type of commercial print
product you can imagine! Annual Reports, Marketing Collateral, Direct
Mail, Books, Envelopes, and many more items can be printed on one
of our 5 in-house presses, running 2-shifts, 5 days a week, and
weekends as needed.
Large Press Group: Our comprehensive large press operation prints
1– 5 colors on up to 40” sheets, with dual-perfecting
capabilities (1/4 or 2/3). An in-line high gloss or matte varnish
can be applied to enhance and preserve your printed piece.

Small Press Group: Our small press group handles 1 & 2
color printing, quickly and efficiently. The latest addition
to our small press group is a 2-color perfecting high-speed
envelope press, completing up to 70,000 impressions per hour!
Digital Printing
Our Digital Printing Team is key to our full-service print offering,
fulfilling your needs for fast, short-run color projects, and variable
and personalized direct mail campaigns.
Color Digital Printing:
Our state of the art Xerox IGEN 3 is the most robust digital printing engine currently in production.
We have the capability to produce full-color static or variable data in offset quality,
on any substrate up to a maximum sheet size up to 14.2" x 20.5". Variable Data & Personalized: Working with our programmers,
we can either produce full color one-to-one marketing materials,
or imprint personalized data on offset printed masters in both color
and black ink. Black & White: Black-and-white digital printing is an efficient
way to produce copy heavy training materials and other internal
communications.
Reprographics
Our Reprographics Team provides high-speed bulk copy services, with
immediate turnaround.

Large Format Printing
Whether you’re hosting a conference or participating in a
